MaVS takes the lessons learned from Charles Park II and augments synthwave soundtrack sensibilities with the lo-fi chiptune aesthetic from his earlier works. The title track is just dripping with tension. "No Return" and "Night Racer" are badass outrun tracks, particularly the former with its galloping beat and poignant melody. I also love the funk of "Circuits". "Pegasus" and "Zytel" sound more like MaVS circa 2010, with a softer but still groovy edge. The dark hope of "Dawn" is powerful magic.
Favorite track: The Point of No Return.
